A Phanatic Series

Last night marked the conclusion of the best few weeks of the year: October Baseball. The Fall Classic ended with the Philadelphia Phillies beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4 games to 1. While I personally LOATH the Phillies, and because my grandparents live in Tampa, I was personally biased towards the Rays, and I know that they are pretty bummed down there in Florida. Nonetheless, the Phillies were a great team and deserved the title.

While it sucks that baseball season is finally over and not returning until April, the World Series is such a fun and exciting time. Yes, it can get kinda stressful as I attempt to watch each and every playoff game from start to finish, yet I love every minute of it. I guess I can revert back to my patriotic roots in thinking that my reasons for loving it is that it brings that small, but abundant inkling of home (Thank you NASN). I think that is why we call it "America's Pastime".
