...A Journey...

Our entire family attended the ceremony, which was held at an old English church. Liz was about 20 minutes late (it wouldn't be LIZ's wedding if she wasn't late) and the ceremony was highlighted by their hilarious yet insightful minister, lots of excited British people, and even poppers. The ceremony was a bit different than our normal American ceremonies. First of all, the whole vows, rings, and kissing the bride is done at the beginning, followed by all of the music and readings, and then they leave for about 10 minutes to sign the register. Its all quite different.
Following the ceremony, we attended the reception at a nearby school hall. It was a traditional English Tea (at least an American's interpretation of an English Tea) with scones, tea with milk, sweets (American Translation: Desserts), and biscuits (American Translation: Cookies). At the same time we were able to have the whole YoungLife group at our table which was a lot of fun.
It was so neat attending a pseudo-British wedding and a pseudo-English tea. My mom was saying at the ceremony, "I can really feel the presence of God here" and you totally could. I'm so happy for Liz and Phil because I've never seen a couple with such a strong love for God and each other. I can't wait to see what He has in store for them. Congrats Phil and Lizzie!
This means I have conquered Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina State, and Texas! wooooo thats more than half!! Now all I have left is Elon, South Carolina, and Syracuse......yay??
As a few of my friends have stated, I am an "eager beaver". But why shouldn't I be? I mean isn't it better to get the applications out of the way as soon as possible AND know many months sooner? I'm just thinking logical.
While dealing with apps AND regular hw is such a hassle, it is awesome moving along in a process that will ultimately shape who I am in the real world...and a little scary...
